water that is considerably less murky,it is also a much more attractive location for swimming. Given its natural wind conditions and calm sea, Jomtien Beach is also a destination of choice for wind surfers, and a number of instructors work from the area. Jomtien features every conceivable type of accommodation available to those who want to stay in the
area. Like Pattaya Beach, Jomtien hosts an expatriate community but doesn’t have the edge Pattaya Beach does.
It does though have just as many great restaurants offering cuisine from every corner of the globe. It also has as many hawkers, plying anything from peanuts and fruit to pictures of the king and massages. They can prove annoying when you are trying to relax, but again, on Jomtien even this is not as hardcore as Pattaya Beach.
How to get there: Just like everywhere else in Pattaya, Jomtien is easily accessible through the multitude of Songtaews that

Tourist attractions Erawan waterfall The 7 levels of this waterfall drops 1,500 meters down steep-sided cliffs. It is surrounded by beautiful forest with many types of trees and orchids. The climb is well worth the effort, for the sight of tumbling water, spraying off the boulders into the deep pool below. This fall resembles the head of the Erawan Elephant (the 3-headed elephant from
Hindu Mythology) which gives the whole waterfall its name. Wang Bahdan cave is a big limestone cave located 54 km from the headquarters. Its narrow entrance widens into a large hall festooned with strange limestone formations. Pratat cave is 12 km from the headquarters. Strange-shaped stalactites and stalagmites fascinate the eyes, and a huge rock garden with a stupa or eagle-shaped sandstone decorates the centre of the cave. Ta Duang cave Unfortunately boulders have collapsed in front of the mouth of this cave and it is no longer possible to enter. There are wonderful stone age paintings of people, trees and way of life on the walls of this cave. Mee cave This large 5 roomed cave has many strange shaped rocks and striking colored stalactites and stalagmites.
Rua cave Main feature of thes cave is ancient boat-shape waterbowl carved out of a log. The head of the waterbowl has a nose, 2 eyes, and 2 ears, which help support it from falling. Sadly, the condition of this ancient artifact is deteriorating due to the bat droppings.

In the interim period while both airports are operating (from September 15th to September 28th) Suvarnabhumi will use the code NBK.Location The airport is located in Racha Thewa in the Bang Phli district of Samut Prakan province, 30 kilometers east of Bangkok. Architects The airport was designed by Murphy/Jahn ArchitectsCapacity The airport has 2 parallel runways (60 m. wide, 4,000 m. and 3700 m. long) and 2 parallel taxiways to accommodate simultaneous departures and arrivals. It has a total of 120 parking bays (51 with contact gates and 69 remote gates) and 5 of these are capable of accommodating the Airbus A380 aircraft. With a capacity of handling 76 flight operations per hour, both international and domestic flights will share the airport terminal but will be assigned to different parts of the concourse. In the initial phase of construction, it will be capable of handling 45 million passengers and 3 million tonnes of cargo per year. Between the airport hotel and the terminal building are the two 5-storey car park buildings with a combined capacity of 5,000 cars.Airport Hotel Above the underground rail link station and in front of the passenger terminal building is the 600-room hotel operated by Accor Group under the Novotel brand. Long-term plans Long-term plans for four runways flanking two main terminals and two satellite buildings with a combined capacity capable of handling up to 100 million passengers and 6.4 million tonnes of cargo a year are on the drawing board. The second phase of airport expansion involving the construction of a satellite building south of the main terminal is expected to begin 3 to 5 years after the completion of the first main terminal.
